Child-like Discoveries After 40

One of the things that keeps me feeling young is discovering animals and such that  have existed all my life but I've never seen or heard of them before.  Recently, I came across an online discussion that mentioned a small wild cat called a "Sand Cat". I had never heard of it before so I Googled it and knew instantly I had to draw up a KiniArt version.  My original Sand Cat kitten illustration is now available on Etsy .  And I opened a Sand Cat Zazzle shop too. Sand Cats are (according to Wikipedia), "a small wild cat distributed over African and Asian deserts. (The name "desert cat" is reserved for Felis silvestris lybica , the African wildcat.) The Sand cat lives in arid areas that are too hot and dry even for the African Wildcat: the Sahara, the Arabian Desert, and the deserts of Iran and Pakistan." I love listening to music or audio books while I'm drawing.  Today, I'm starting a new audio book of " The Help " (from Amazon's Audible.com). It's been next in line in my library for a couple months now so I'm very excited!
